Session Description: Health centers must have a strategic plan. This session will define the board’s role in strategic planning, introduce different strategic planning approaches, and demonstrate how boards can provide effective oversight by tracking key performance indicators.
Learning Objectives:
Define the governance responsibilities of health center boards in shaping, approving, and monitoring strategic plans
Describe different strategic planning approaches and how to adapt planning during times of challenge or change
Demonstrate how boards can fulfill their oversight role by tracking and interpreting key performance indicators to assess progress towards strategic goals
