Session Description: Following the adoption of its grassroots strategic plan, Elica Health Centers launched a bold Practice Transformation initiative that dramatically increased access, reduced burnout, and improved financial performance. Rather than chasing new funding, Elica focused on finding hidden dollars within its existing structure: unfilled capacity, outdated scheduling models, inefficient staffing, suboptimal PPS alignment, and under-leveraged 340B revenue.
This session shows how a mid-sized FQHC mined these opportunities and generated millions in new net income through smart, mission-aligned initiatives: 4-day workweeks, open access scheduling, EHR optimization, site realignment for PPS maximization, revenue cycle modernization, and strategic rate negotiations. Attendees will walk away with specific tactics, ROI metrics, and a new lens to identify hidden value in their own health centers.
Learning Objectives:
Identify common sources of operational inefficiency and revenue loss.
Learn how to implement and fund a cross-functional Practice Transformation department.
Analyze real-world ROI from initiatives that expand access and optimize resources.
