Session Description: This session will explore how health centers can align advocacy strategies with the lived experiences of patients and families in each community and legislative districts. Participants will learn to intertwine service area data, storytelling, and strategic partnerships to strengthen advocacy efforts—especially when responding to harmful or misinformed legislation. Key learning goals: 1. Translate Local Needs into Legislative Action 2. Connect Community Voices to Policy 3. Build Strategic Local Partnerships 4. Navigate Changing Political Climates

Use local health and demographic data to inform and strengthen advocacy efforts
Identify fair, compelling ways to include patient stories in policy communications.
Build or expand partnerships with local agencies (e.g., schools, nonprofits, city governments) to amplify advocacy messaging --adapt advocacy strategies in politically divided or underrepresented districts.
